Staffs Youth Anglers is a voluntary fishing group for young people ages 8 yrs - 22yrs of any abilitiy or background. We provide qualified coaching, workshops, matches, events and socials.

Cost:

Membership is free to all, however, a contribution from all members towards peg fees (currently £2.00) and bait (50p) is required for all sessions attended. The club welcomes new members and aims to run sessions fortnightly with workshops trips and events in between. Clubmark Accreditation has been applied for and SYA coaches are qualified through the NGB - The Angling Trust.  The club's activities are kindly supported by Chris and Carol Carney www.carneypools.co.uk Tel: 07814 237211

Welcome to Staffordshire Youth Anglers:

Staffs Youth Anglers (SYA) are based at Carney Pools Fishery, Bishton Lane, Wolseley Bridge, nr Stafford. It's a fishing club for young people from all across Staffordshire who are interested in the sport of angling. It's run by the members, with youth coach Bradley Parkes as Chairman who started forming the club just over 2 years ago. 

The original group of 12 members designed the SYA logo and group guidelines and are still involved today.  The club accommodates most age groups with members aged from 8yrs to 23yrs, and all abilities are welcome.  Its friendly, enthusiastic members, youth coaches and volunteer coaches help to point everyone from beginners to budding professionals in the right direction.

The club offers a wide range of angling coaching sessions, workshops, club social/fund-raising activities and trips - travelling across the county and to angling venues further afield, including a residential centre in the south and sea fishing off the Welsh coast.
